Etiquettes of students (آدَابُ المتعلم)

The following are the proper manners of the reciter of the Quran. Here, a reciter of the Quran refers to a student of knowledge or one who is on the path of seeking knowledge and Allah’s satisfaction.

1.    Asceticism

2.    Not giving any importance to worldly matters and selfish people

3.    Generosity

4.    Kindness

5.    Smiling Face

6.    Forbearance

7.    Patience

8.    Not doing low profile jobs

9.    Discreetness

Some good habits to adopt:

1.    Cutting the moustache

2.    Letting the beard grow

3.    Removing nails and armpits

4.    Removing unpleasant smells and dirt

5.    Avoiding the hateful (Karaaha) clothes

6.    Not laughing too much

7.    Not making too many jokes

Some bad habits to give up:

1.    Giving up the Pomp

2.    Giving up the hypocrisy (insincerity)

3.    Giving up Envy

4.    Giving up the arrogance  and disrespect of others
