O Allah! Our Lord! To You be praise that would fill the skies and the earth and fill whatever you wish besides.
  8. Reciting Qunoot (قُنُوت) in the last I’tidal of Subah prayer and in Witr prayer (صلاة الوتْر) of second half of Ramadan. Qunoot is also recommended in all Fard Salaat for calamity from which Muslims suffer. Qunoot for calamity is called قنوت النازلة
Qunoot is to recite any prayer (دعاء). The best prayer is as follows:
O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, give me health among those on whom You have given health, turn to me in friendship among those on whom You have turned in friendship, and bless me in what You have bestowed, and save me from the evil of what You have decreed. For verily You decree and none can influence You; and he is not humiliated whom You have befriended. And he is not dignified whom you have made hostile. Blessed are You, O Lord, and Exalted. Praise is to you for which you have decreed. I seek Your pardon and turn to You in repentance.
It is recommended to say صَلاَة after Qunoot. Imam can recite it loudly in the plural words. Ma’moom can say Ameen loudly for Dua and Salaat. When Imam reading ثَنَاء (from فَإِنَّك تَقْضِي to أتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ) Ma’moom can recite the same in low voice with Imam. It is not Sunnah to wipe the face after Qunoot.
